YOU WILL NEVER BE LAZY AFTER READING THIS

  1. Laziness dies when your purpose feels bigger than your excuses.
  2. Start small – momentum builds faster than waiting for motivation.
  3. Every wasted hour delays the life you say you want.
  4. Energy comes from movement, not from sitting and thinking.
  5. Comfort is a trap disguised as peace.
  6. Your future self is shaped by today’s effort, not by tomorrow’s plans.

I saw this headline today and read the list because I thought it would help me achieve a few of the things I am battling to get moving on. Instead, I realised I had used each one at some point with one or other client I have had in the past. And one of these helped initiate some kind of shift. But seeing them all listed like this made me realise a few things. And they have nothing to do with laziness.

Firstly, they are excuses, not reasons, you aren’t making the changes you need to make. Secondly, the reason you are making excuses for avoiding acting is that YOU JUST DON´T WANT IT ENOUGH.

Are you maybe chasing the wrong thing? Because if you did really really want it, you would find a way to reach your goal. If it really resonated with you, you would make the effort required, you would learn whatever you needed to learn and you would pursue every avenue until you achieved it.

It’s time to be honest with yourself. Why are you making excuses and are your excuses going to get you to where you want to be? (Excuses are the ´reasons´ we give for not doing something to avoid accountability and to cast blame elswhere).  So, if the answer is no, I want to achieve the goal, then it´s simple – stop making excuses and act. If you still can’t act then you are choosing to waste your time. How does that make you feel? Are you happy to not achieve that goal? If the answer is yes, it’s time to change tack and refocus.

Whether it’s yes or no, both require movement. Just in different directions. Be honest with yourself and make the decision that you can act on.

Have a good week,

Love Vanessa
